In this chapter, we learn that the Bonifacios have lost contact with their men at the General's house, and that the General has missed the opportunity to kill his men. The General is angry at his men for making him kill so many of them, and he tells them that he will meet them at the fort. He tells the General that if he sees the child, he will kill the child. He also tells the children that they are theirs, and they should escape. The two boys are eating all the food in the kitchen, and hank wants to poison them with rat poison, but the children will not be killed. They will be bonded to a kambal, and the kambal will control their bloodlust and their desire for blood.
