Battle Angel Alita: Mars Chronicle 1-8

In this chapter, the Lapdog of Edom tries to find a way to drink water. He's got a problem: he can't figure out how to navigate the labyrinth, so he has to use a French mathematician's formula to figure out the final riddle. The final riddle is "a square depression" . The Lapdog thinks this is the key to unlocking the secret of Mars' immortality potion. He thinks it's amazing that he knocked out the guy who knocked him out. He wants to know what's up with the whole "I want your life" thing. He says he's going to kill his lover, and then stomp on the guy's ass to see if he really is a "limpdick" like he says he is. He doesn't know what to make of this whole story, but he knows that the Council of edom made a bad move by killing the guy he was supposed to kill. He knows that this is a lie, and he'd rather die than be a "worthless slovenly slut" like his lover. He wishes he could just run around the castle and strangle his lover like a "damn horse" , so that he wouldn't have to play this game. He also knows that he'll get revenge on his lover later on, and that's why he wants to be rid of him.
