The protagonist goes on to say that he feels the same way about this guy. He says that the guy is copying his style of writing, but that he doesn't seem to be copying the protagonist at all. He also says that this guy has a suspicious light in his eyes, which makes him suspicious of the protagonist. This is why the protagonist decides to remove the protagonist from his life.
