This chapter opens with the commander of Dongchang ordering his servant to "spit it out" of the treasure that he has brought with him. This is a reference to the story of the first princess of Yulan, changning, who was ordered by her husband to marry the "infamous commander" . Unfortunately, the treasure was eaten by the "vicious dog" , and the princess perished at her husband's hands
