In this scene, we learn that the narrator is in immense pain. He has fallen in love with the "bastard" , and he regrets it. He wishes he could return to the "cesspool" of love, but he knows that he cannot do so. He knows that the "little boyfriend" and his mother's company are worth only a few billion dollars. He tells the narrator that he wants to treat him nicely, but that he has rejected him. He says that he drank too much, and that he caused trouble for the man. He apologizes, but says that the man did nothing wrong. The narrator is very sorry, but feels that he did not do a good host. He feels that the person he loved the most was hurt most brutally, and insulted the most horribly.
