An'an disappears, and the narrator finds out she's pregnant five years after he disappeared. She's happy to be a mom, but she wishes she could move closer to her husband's house so she could be closer to him. He gives her a gift of a "Nebula jade" , and they decide to take him to sleep with them tonight.
