The next morning, Dr. Rivers is on his way to the hospital when he hears a knock on the door. It's the voice of Brooke, who has been assaulted by someone. The doctor tells Brooke that she'll have to have surgery on her knee, but that she can't make it to tomorrow's performance. Brooke says that she just had a bad painkilling injection, and she's feeling a lot better. Brooke tells the doctor that she wants to keep competing in the competition, even though someone is trying to get her out of it. Brooke insists that she will win the competition and drive Brooke out of the room. The president tells Brooke to stop being so nice to Brooke, and to stop denying her feelings for him already.
