He has been given cold medicine by the manager and is eager to take it. He wonders how old the manager is and wonders if he is stealing glances from other employees. He wants to know when he will be able to get rid of the unwanted attention. He asks the manager when he is going to "delete" the unwanted glances, but the man does not answer. The young narrator feels that he is being "jerked around" by the man, and he is tired of being "satisfied" by his advances. He begs the man to "flush this time" and make him feel better.
