About This Chapter
It turns out that what ji-jia was protecting wasn't the book itself, but a code word that could be used to hide the book. The previous witches who handed over the book had all passed away, and the last witch who inherited the code word is dead. The only trail that has gone cold is that of the dean, who asked the girls to protect the forbidden book. It's midnight and the girls are having a snack. They're hungry and need something to eat. The girl tells them that she's not leaving school because of the incident with the dean. She says that she won't be able to leave school before she graduates. She also says that her older sister is waiting to call her, and she wants to cheer her up. She tells them to come on and eat and drink and then she'll call her sister over. The older sister tells the girls that the sun is finally coming out and that they can continue their outdoor drills. The girls wonder why they haven't been talking to each other since the dean incident. They wonder if something's wrong with their investigation. They also wonder if it's their sister's fault. They tell her that she can tell them what's going on if she wants. She doesn't know what to do, but she tells
