About This Chapter
Do you want to become a "shooter" for your brother, or do you want him to become your "younger brother?" The narrator explains that he grew up without parents in an orphanage, and that his twin brother was abandoned before he was adopted. He tells his brother that he can help him save money and live in his rooms, and he promises that he will help him drive his countless cars. The narrator then tells us that he arrived early in the morning and sat in the neighborhood watching people. He says that if his big brother wants to live with him, he can do whatever he likes. He even packed all his luggage, so he will be able to share the bed with his brother. He then tells his uncle and auntie that he is his younger brother, and asks them to get out of the house. He wants to know if they recognize him as their younger brother. They reply that they do not, but that it is only when they can prove that they can be stand-ins that they will be recognized as brothers. He asks his brother to come over to his house at 7 the next morning to test his fitness.
