About This Chapter
The severed finger case has finally been closed, and the next day is a national day holiday, which means that everyone is free to go home for the day. The old man in the wheelchair is being merciful, and he says that he's going home. He tells the young man that he can't wait to see who is going to be looking down on him again. The young man tells the old man that the news of the case has made him cry, and that he hopes that his daughter will be related to him someday. He also tells his grandfather that he plans to change his name to "Tang" from "Li" . He says that his college application was not for the police academy, but to prepare for a police science degree. He's sorry, grandpa, for trying to keep him away from the "mass death case" , and for faking the deaths of his parents and many others. How can he live a "happy and sweet life" knowing that he and his family and so many others have all died in a mysterious way?
