Back in the Song Dynasty, a boy named Zongxiao was insulted by the villagers and proposed a bet: if he survived the fall, then it meant that his father was his real father. After everyone placed their bet, he jumped off of the cliff, proving that he was indeed his father. A police officer tells Long Zhang that they are looking for Tingli, who has gone missing. The police officer says that she is now living with an old rich man, and that her father took her to the cliff so that she could prove that she was his daughter. He says that he will go negotiate with the old man, but that the legend of the "xiaozi cliff" is different from that of the teacher, who said that the girl was really his real daughter.
