Captain wang and his deputy, poke, are looking for a bracelet that the captain gave him, but wang refuses to help them find it. He says that if they cannot find it, he will be their primary suspect. Worried that the deputy captain has more bullet wounds than him, wang tells them to leave and go investigate other people. They leave, and wang says that he still doesn't understand why the captain has so many bullet holes. He adds that he's learned a lot since he was assigned to "old ma's" unit after his suspension ended. The captain is useless, he says, because his underlings act like they're better than everyone else. He also says that director poke is the underdog in the brigade because he is the only one who respects the captain.
