In this chapter, Cai Ling is introduced to his former boss, who is now a member of the special forces. Cai Ling tells him that he has been infected with botanic disease, and that he is unable to return to the task force. He also tells Cai Ling that he will always respect Cai Ling, honor him, and care for him until his death.
