About This Chapter
The medical teacher compares himself to himself at the beginning of the semester. He says that his luck has not changed, and that he is in his "flowering stage" . He asks if there is any change in his body that he did not notice, and if so, why. The doctor says that the research on the disease has not yet been completed, but that the flowering stage is necessary in order for the patient to answer the doctor's questions. He tells the patient that he has come to visit him because he heard that he was in his flowering stage, and hopes that he will be able to recover soon. He writes that he hopes to see the patient again, and tells her that she should not give up hope. She says that she has heard that she is in her flowering stage and that everyone is looking for her. She tells him that she will be remembered for her appearance in the original story, even if she were to disappear, because she was a patient who had been infected with the rehmannia-glutinosa virus. She also says that one remembers her and her no full name even when she does not know any of her classmates. She feels that she wanted to never cry, but when someone says that they are her best friends, she cant hold back her tears. She is so happy, she says, that she feels like she is their best friend. She asks the doctor what will happen if they can fulfill their dream, and the doctor clenches the third wheel.
