The contest has already taken place, and now the citizens of the city want to vote for their favorite restaurant. The narrator assures the mayor that once he wins the contest, people will come to his restaurant and will be loyal followers. The mayor tells the narrator to be careful at school because the university has taken measures to suppress demonstrations. He says that he will study hard for entrance exam to the Golden Hall of vienna. He picks an apple and tells it to be "plugged thump thump." The narrator picks apples and tells them to "purl thump thump" . The participants in the contest are "Andy, the chef of First Love Kaffee" and "Stuart, from Da-ke restaurant." They have to create a dish that is "fluttering heart" and has to be made in one hour. The winner of the contest will receive an apple tart.
