Back at home, the narrator tries to find out what's going on with Andry. Uh-oh, he's been late answering his calls. He's worried about Andry, too, and wants to know if he'll be able to make it to the wedding. The narrator tells him to go ahead and get married. He also tells Andry that she'll have to give up her chance to become a violinist, because a famous professor has offered her a chance to be an auditor. He says that if she passes the exam in three months, she can become a regular student. Uh, no problem, says the narrator. Andy's a little worried about her, too. He tells her that some inspectors came to check on her to make sure she didn't miss her performance, but she doesn't mention that.
