The scene opens with a soliloquy by a young man named Yuyunfei. He asks the young man what he will do if he finds out that the whole story is false. The young man tells him that he will choose to leave the world and become a hermit. The man asks him what he should do. He tells him to stay away from him, and he says he will pull him out of the world. He says that he knows that he is different from everyone else in the world, and that he sold him away for a post that he didn't really want. He then asks him if he would like to go to tea with his friend Lanqiang, and the man says he would, but that he would rather be with someone else. He also asks if the man's friend, guanchen, would want to come and see the whole thing. Unsure of what to make of this, yunfei asks if he is the one who gave him permission to show it to him. He knows that the man wants to see it, but he doesn't know why he won't let him see it. He wants to know who gave permission for this to happen, and why the man is so upset about it. Worried that he might be ruined if he does not expose the truth, he asks the man to take a picture and tell him what has happened.
