In the meantime, Dorotea and Amaltea have managed to escape from the castle, and the two young women are left alone to discuss the events of the day. They are not sure whether they will be able to travel to Queen Vasyl's castle, where they hope to find a way to reunite with their father, but they are determined to do so. When they arrive, they are met by their mother, who is overjoyed to see her son back.
