About This Chapter
Ossian asks his mother why he has to drink so much every day. She tells him that they live in a dangerous world and that he cannot learn to fight or to master magic. He tells her that she is treating him like dirt and he lets her stomp on him. Ossian tells his mother that he wants to say that the prince is the most beautiful he has ever seen. He says that he would have defended the prince the same way as he did when defending him. He also says that his mother is brave for challenging her sister. He asks her where his little brother is and she tells him to go find him. She says that she did not know where he was and that she knew he would try something but did not do it. She wishes that she could have prevented her sister from doing what she did. She asks her mother to ride up the mountain so that they do not find them.
