In this chapter, the young waitress tells her boss that she's not happy with the way things are going at the bar. She's angry because she wants to go back to her old boss, but the boss won't let her. She tells the boss that they're all "good now" , but then she tells him that she can't go back because the place is "running out of teeth" . The boss tells her that the only thing she can do is ask her employer to give her a signed notice of termination, but that doesn't solve the problem. If the employer isn't paying her the agreed-upon percentage , then she'll have to ask for a termination notice from her employer. She also tells him about the blonde waitress, and the boss is all, "you're a moron, you should have caught it." The boss then tells the girl that she should trust him because he's a "con artist," a "spy," and a "detective." She tells him to get her bail money so she can get back to work.
