In this short scene, Clara tries to convince her brother that she is not afraid of death. She tells him that she will not die, but that everyone will die. She asks him to find her dolls and give her time to rest before she dies. She says that she was always a beauty, but now that she does not have a mommy, she is a "forager" . She wonders why he did not recognize her when he first came to visit her. He says that he was scared of her, but she did not fear him. He tells her that he is dead, too, and that she must earn her keep with him by her side. He asks her to close the door, and she says that Michael told her to give him his love. They have all the hands to do so, and he wishes he could have stayed longer. Clara says that her family has come to see Clara off, and asks her not to speak for the dead, because she knows who she is asking. She begs her brother to wait long enough for her to be with her one last time.
