The protagonist is overcome with grief at the loss of his life, but he is grateful that he saved the dog. He tells the protagonist that he is invited to his wedding on the 10 th of the next month, and he asks the protagonist to stay away from the protagonist. He says that being poor does not mean that one is ashamed, but that it is up to one to lift himself out of poverty. He compares the protagonist's grief to that of a god, and says that he will teach the protagonist how to cultivate in order to take revenge on the woman who betrayed him.
