The wedding is over, and everyone is gone except for Monty and his dad. Monty is bummed out, but he's not about to let it get to him. He's going to get drunk and write a poem about the wedding. He tells his dad that the wedding is a symbol of love, and that he can't sing the perfect song because it's just beginning. He says he'll write a song about love in the book of music, just like the song that he just wrote. He asks Monty to kiss the bride on the knee, and Monty says that's the perfect way to say goodbye. He also tells Monty that after Monty leaves, he needs him to come back and help clean up the wedding mess. But Monty doesn't want to do that, so he tells him to get out of the wedding clothes and get some sleep.
