In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character named "Yura Oh," who is a member of the ARK. She is a young woman who has come to Earth to find a cure for a disease that has ravaged her body. She has met an alien man named "Red," who has brought her back to Earth, and she is now trapped on Earth because of him. She cannot return home because she has been exposed to an "earthling disease" and has been abandoned by the other ARKs. She can never return to the sea because "something beyond the scope of reality" has appeared before her. The ARK officer in charge, "Red" introduces himself as "an alien creature" and says that he will take care of the young man until he returns. The young man, who is called "Youra Oh" , asks to be taken care of by the officer, "Flet flail." The officer tells him not to question anything, but to just take good care of Youra Oh until he comes back. The officer then asks if she is hungry, and Youra says she is not sure why, but that once she feeds him, he will be calmer. She then asks him if he is choking, and he says he is. She tells him to pick "muffin," and he picks "puff-puff," and she tells him that he is not going to thank her for buying him something to eat. She asks if the boy is okay, and when he says yes, she says that his chest is racing, and that he has been "contaminated" by the disease. She says
