Kim and Jo prepare to leave for the night. Kim asks Jo to take off her crown and her ceremonial ribbon so that she can sleep. Jo tries to apologize for her excessive wear, but she is too tired to do so. They go to bed, and Jo tells Kim that she was surprised when she asked her to go back to her palace. She says that she thought she was someone else, but that she always waited for her so that they could go to the palace together. Now that they have spent their first night together, Jo asks Kim to stand by her side in the palace.
