The next morning, the chickens are cooped up again, and the narrator is worried about them. He wonders where they came from, and wonders why there are so many armed guards around the place. He's also worried about the recent increase in bank robberies, and he's worried that one of the guards is trying to take all the money from the coop. The narrator is relieved to see that there's no one around to take the money.
