So he starts texting her, but she's not responding. He tells her that he has to use a smartphone to send and receive messages, and she'll have no excuse for not responding to his texts. He says that he worked so hard to buy a smartphone, so that he can chat with her, and now that he does, he can't believe that he didn't just text her back when she asked him to. He also says that his depression has made him a super human.
