Darren tells his mom that he's sorry about what happened to his son. He's also sorry that he didn't tell her what happened at school. Darren's not the only one who's upset: his dog, Brutus, is also upset. Brutus' mom tells him that Brutus is an "aggressive" dog, and that she'll have to take Brutus back if Darren refuses to let him go. She also says that Brutus will have to go through a series of "behavioral tests" to make sure that Brutus isn't a "malinger" .
