In this chapter, we learn more about Clark's plan to destroy the city of Homa . He tells us that he has been working on the human genome for 13 years and that it was his goal to map out the entire human race so that he could use it to study and treat people. He wants to use this information to help people, but he doesn't want to use it for military purposes. He's worried about what the Russians are going to do to him, and he wants to know how they're going to find out.
