The students in the second- and third-grade class are furious that the teacher has refused to let them take the exam. They blame the teacher for pulling them back because he has not been at school recently. The teacher tells the students that he has been freaking out because without him, the class will lose its spot as the top class for the exam in the month of April. The second-grader tells the teacher that he heard rumors that someone from his class had been arrested for some crime. The third-grader says that the rumor was that the student's family background was special, but the teacher points out that this does not mean the student can do anything he wants. The students leave, and the teacher apologizes to the students. He admits that he did not realize that things could turn out the way they did. He apologizes for the mess he's made, and says that he is sorry that he raised a son like him.
