It's been a while since we've heard from the guy, but now that he's back in the States, it's time for the narrator to tell us what's up. He's still moping about the fact that he hasn't spoken to the guy in a long time, and he wants to go see him in person. The narrator tells us that he doesn't want to miss the chance to meet the guy. He wants to meet him while he is in town, so he suggests going on a trip to the Galapagos to see the humpback whales. Sounds like a great idea, right? The narrator says he'll go on the trip anyway, since it'll be three months until the end of September. He hopes to meet his grandma when he grows up, since she's going to be traveling around the world. He thinks about how much he loves the ocean, and how he can't wait to meet her. He also thinks about his grandmother's ring, which he thinks will protect him when he meets her, since her ring is going to keep him safe. He says he can call her and use the internet to find out how her day is going, and then he can tell her about the trip. He tells her that he still has two months to go, so she should use this money to pay for her trip.
