It's been a while since we've heard from Dr. Rivers, and now he's back on his feet. He's feeling pretty good about himself, though, and is psyched to be back on the water. He doesn't know what to do with himself now that his girlfriend has gone down to the depths of the ocean. He can't believe that she's gone down so deep, and that it's just a sudden, unexplained loss of consciousness. He thinks that maybe he should've left her alone for a bit, and she would've been able to get back on her feet right away. But then he remembers that he was supposed to get a pulse at the bottom of the sea, and he thinks that's a good safety measure, too. He figures that if he didn't have a pulse, he'd be able to go back up and get it right away, and then he could go back down again. But now he knows that he'll have a hard time going back down, and it'll be even harder if he has to go all the way to the bottom. He realizes that the only way he can get back up is by putting his mouth against the chest of someone who's drowned, and this is the only thing he can think of to do. He wants to get to the
