Logbook: Live, Love, Dive

The chapter opens with a description of the swimming pool at the end of the chapter. It's been a long time since the protagonist has been in the pool, and he's choked up. He's not sure where the end is, but he does know that it's 25 meters away. He counts the kicks until he gets to the end. He realizes that the pool is not cracked, and that he can see the end faster this time around. He taps on the wall and pushes on the ground until he reaches the end, where the tiles will appear. He knows that he'll be able to do well in the upcoming ocean session, so he keeps going. He feels like he can throw away all the pictures of the man that he still can't erase, and all the messages he still hasn't erased from his mind. But now, he feels like, he can start something again. He wants to try again, to see if he can make it to 50 meters. He says that if he does, he will get rid of all the attachments in his life that
