In this chapter, Hiroyuki tries his best to pass the university entrance exam. He's ranked 156 out of 156 students in his class, and he's devoted his life to his studies. He praises his friend Aematsu for his hard work and praises himself for his achievements. He tells Hiroyuki that he'd like to go on a date with him, but that he doesn't want to use his date to " amuse yourselves" . He suggests that they "just sweep her into his arms, then work their way up" , which is the way it's supposed to be done in the book. He hopes that tomorrow he'll be able to make her happy.
