In this chapter, the girl's dream is interrupted by the sound of a locked door. It's Alice's door, too, and the girl asks if anyone is there. The girl is certain that Alice is the wrong person to be in her dream. She's been trailing Alice around for weeks, and now she's almost eaten by another animal. Alice doesn't even look like herself, and that's the problem. She looks like the wrong Alice, and she'll never be the right Alice, because Alice is her wrong Alice. Alice isn't wearing the right clothes, and Alice is not even dressed in the right dress, either. Alice asks who the absolem is, and he says he's "absolute" . Alice is confused by the whole thing, and wonders who she really is. She unrolls the calendar, which tells us that today is the "griblig day" in the time when the red queen is supposed to be showing her the "frabjous day" , which means "sorry."
