About This Chapter
The next morning, the girls discuss the field trip they're planning. They're going to go on an overnight trip, and the leader of the class isn't really up to the task. The girls decide that they'll have a little more time to think about it and decide what they want to do with it. Before they leave, they ask the messiah to take a picture of them with his phone. The messiah says he'll take one with his own phone, but he's not sure if it'll be good or bad. The girl thanks him for taking her out for a walk. She's lonely if she has to go home alone, so she's glad to have someone to walk her home with. She asks him if he thinks she'd be a good leader for a field trip if something happened to her out on the field, and he says he would have done the same thing if he had been out there. He's also worried about her, though, and asks her if she thinks that she might be unfit for service. She says she would have quit, but then he asks her why she doesn't just quit, and she says it's because he is worrying about her. They go back to the house, where the girl confesses that she saw Tachibana enter the house. She wants to tell the girls about it, but she can't, because she'll keep her secret.
