In this short scene, Beauty and the Beast discuss the fate of the candies. Beauty says that he wants to know what his future will be like if he meets Cloten. He's worried that Cloten will think he's a wimp because he hasn't read the candy wrappers. He also worries about what Cloten's reaction will be to seeing his mommy and daddy fight. He wonders if he'll be able to make a deal with Cloten if he survives. He asks Cloten to give him a code to get back home if he wins. Cloten says that's the only way he can get back. He offers to take a job in the arena and promises to come back for him.
