About This Chapter
In this short scene, Sparkle wishes that she were dead. She tells the King of France that she is sorry that he will not be able to stop the evil that threatens fairyland. She reminds him that she once was a queen and that she would have tried her best to protect fairyland from the evil. She also tells him that he seems to be a good king and that he would have been able to save his people if the evil had not shown up. He tells her that he is sorry, but that the evil is totally happening again. He asks Sparkle how she likes the little present that the council gave her. She says that nothing will survive the storm and that it is all because of her. He says that he does not need night light powers to kill her. Sparkle says that she has to defeat the evil and not listen to him. She asks the King not to give her the gift of the hearts, as it is sure to backfire on her if she does not. The King tells her to go home and find her way up to Mr. Bardolph.
