About This Chapter
Fairyland is full of hate for the young lady, who has killed her husband. Gertrude, the queen, says that she's tired of being a queen and wants to be a "slaycation" . But Larry reminds her that she can't be a queen just because she kills people. She's got to be more than just a queen. She has to be fun, says Larry, because she'd be locked in a tower with no one to save her. Larry says she'll bring her car around, but she warns everyone that it's a trick question. She says she heard a hat maker was executed for leaving a lynched man in a fly's-bowl . The pressure of the throne is too much, she says. She tells Larry that she ran out of her stash of bottles recently, and she figured out how to use them to ruin treaties. The council has found her to be an utter failure as a queen, and they're worried about the future of fairyland. She asks them to help her get out of there.
