Preparing for the party, the men discuss the progress of the fleet. The ship has sailed north at a snail's pace, and the men wonder if they will be able to catch up before the fleet reaches the American coast. The men decide that they are not going to lose, however, because they believe that the United States is stronger than any other nation on earth.
