The narrator arrives at the house of a wealthy man who rents out his house. He finds that the house is very nice, but the monthly rent is too high. He decides that he will find a cheaper house, and offers to rent it out for half the rent. The man is not responding to the offer, and the narrator decides to go home and get some beer
