In this chapter, we learn that the princess has been hiding out in a cafe in order to protect herself from the lecherous lecherous Mr. Lorry. The princess tells us that she has been working like mad to build up her company so that she can stand in front of him and repay him for his kindness. However, she says, she heard about his accident and that's how she came to be in the cafe. She asks the princess if she can rebuild her company to support her family. She tells the princess that she is her servant and that she prays for her happiness. She begs the princess to forgive her numerous "invalid ments" and to talk to her as she did before. She says that since she was a little girl, she dreamed of being a princess's wife. She swears that she will make the princess the happiest woman in the capital.
