In this short scene, we are introduced to Hiroyuki and his lover, Yuka, who have just returned from a three-day visit to the shogi club in Yokohama, Japan. As they are about to leave, Hiroyuki tells Yuka that he has decided to play the "king's game" with him. He asks Yuka to accompany him to the club, where they will be forced to drink a large amount of alcohol in order to "punish" the next person who does not comply with his wishes.
