This is the first time we get to see a young English girl named Maya Mizutani, who is an exchange student in Japan. She's so excited to meet her host brother , but she's also a little worried that she'll be considered a shy person by the other students. Maya tells us that she came to Japan to study English, but that she doesn't really have the time to study Japanese because she lives in such a big city. She hopes to learn a lot from everyone in the class, and that's exactly what she hopes to do in the year ahead. Huh? Maya is a bit worried that the guy who caught her on the bus today is the same guy she saw at the bus station the day before. She tries to be nice to him, but he's too shy to talk to her, and she can't understand why he'd want to be friends with her.
