In this chapter, the narrator explains that he often comes to the dating place because it makes him feel like he's traveling in someone else's memory. He explains that the items in the room remind him of the person he used to be, and that he doesn't need the items anymore, but someone needs them. The narrator tells us that he received a brand of ointment from a siyan in the middle of the night, and the ointment accidentally gave to a zhuqiaoqiao, who wanted to use it to protect himself. The ointment has disappeared, but this line of writing proves that the person who gave the ointment did it, and so the narrator decides to start an investigation from the handwriting. He tells the narrator to go check out the faces of the women who made her jealous, and then to send them a letter. He also suggests that the narrator give his scholarship to a girl who needs it.
