Mysterious Twins

The narrator introduces us to a new character named clack, who is a teacher's counselor at a school in Shanghai. clack tells us that he is a "psychological lender" , meaning that he will lend money to a student in exchange for a certain amount of money. The loan is for clack's time, and clack will provide psychological counseling to the student. The student asks clack why he said that his "insides are dark" . He says that young people do not want to listen to his secrets. The teacher tells clack that he hates children and that he sneaks back and forth between school and home late at night. Clack tells the student that he still cannot see his heart clearly, but he promises to help him if he can't reveal his secret.
