About This Chapter
This chapter opens with the sound of a car's horn. It's not a car, it's an officer's whistle. The whistle is a warning to the officers that something is amiss. The officer is worried that the whistle might be a signal to the other officers to come and rescue him. He's also worried that if the whistle is blown, he'll be unable to get out of the room.
