The scene opens on a beautiful view of the sea from a boat. The narrator is horrified by the sight. He grabs the boat's mast and begins to struggle to get it to move. The mast, however, is not the object of his desire; it belongs to the other passengers on the boat. As he struggles to get the mast to move, he is interrupted by the sound of a woman's voice. The woman asks the narrator to touch her nipples, but the narrator refuses, saying that he cannot orgasm through her. He then asks the woman why she wants to touch his nipple, and the woman says that she wants it because it is " rough" and "smack just." The narrator refuses to believe the woman, and he begins to cry
