In this short scene, Hirokazu tells Asuka that if she ever wants to go home, she should say the word "I love you" . He tells her that he wants to be with her, but that he has a "tiny shred of stubbornness" inside of him that keeps him from loving her. He says that he broke off their engagement when he did not listen to her talk, and that he loves her even more now that he thinks of her. Asuka says that she has never paid attention to him, but he says that if he had just opened his eyes, she could have seen that he always was perfect. She asks him why he would say that, and he replies that it is a compliment.
